Elle Decoration Russia publication about the Laboratory Dome showroom
«The new Laboratory Dome space in the former Nikolskaya weaving manufactory building in St. Petersburg is a place where unique pieces of furniture and décor from around the world are collected, as well different styles harmoniously combine with each other.» (Elle Decoration Russia magazine)
We just wanted to add only one funny case that was not mentioned in the article. Just a few day before the final opening of the premises, it was urgently decided to change the location of the main entrance. To do this, it was necessary to destroy the walls and flooring that were completely finished. We have had to pack the already fully exhibited furniture and objects for the showroom. Fortunately, we kept the old garage door, which saved the space a little from the dust that arose during the dismantling of large ceiling walls.
However, this action was worth it, because now the entrance is a huge glass wall, which, first of all, adds light and expands the space, and secondly, makes the entrance area more spectacular. Initially, the exit was supposed to be out of the window, but nevertheless we decided to keep it due to its antiquity and original deglazing. At present, at this very place is a podium, which exhibits historical objects, created in the 20th century.
