Danish Design Days in Saint-Petersburg
Our team staged and held the Danish Design Days exhibition in the famous Saint-Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design in order to popularize Danish design in Russia.
Just for three days on the premises of Stieglitz Academy with the help of special frames we recreated an image of ascetic house. Inside of it each exhibition area was a composition of Danish design objects with minimalistic design dried flowers. Guests were invited to be acquainted with the exposition through windows and doorways integrated into the labyrinth of rooms.
We wanted to show the versatility of the Scandinavian style through small installations with visual examples that would inspire the usage of these items in any interior. The atmosphere of Danish design was conveyed by the contrast between the luxurious interior of the Academy and a sharp immersion in the minimalist environment of Scandinavia.
Especially for the event, more than 50 items of interior design and décor elements were brought from Denmark from such factories as Frama, Nuura, Moebe, Warm Nordic, Kristina Dam Studio, Norr11, etc. Some of these factories are now represented by our company on the Russian market on an exclusive basis.
The agenda of the event included several round-tables and lectures on topics such as:
● From minimalistic graphic line to a sculptural aesthetic in Danish design
● Aesthetic of simplicity in Danish design
● Product development process of industrial design: from idea to bestseller
● Light as Danish design tool
● Embodiment of Danish design traditions in public spaces projects of worldwide designers
● Danish design in Russia. Interaction of two countries against the backdrop of global trend in the sphere of industrial and environmental design
● Scandinavian design in public interiors: features, trends and examples
